TurbineOne Receives $8.4 Million Army Task Order to Advance Aided Target Recognition

Award expands Frontline Perception use across operational units and missions worldwide

CHANTILLY, Va., Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TurbineOne, the frontline AI company, today announced a new $8.4 million task order expanding the use of Frontline Perception across operational units and modernization efforts worldwide.

Work will support U.S. Army units and missions in areas including the Middle East, the Western Pacific, and along the southern U.S. border, as well as modernization initiatives including Next Generation Command and Control(NGC2).

“AI has to work wherever Soldiers operate and adapt as quickly as the mission changes,” said TurbineOne CEO Ian Kalin. “As the AI toolmakers for frontline warfighters, we believe Soldiers need the freedom to use the best models for the mission, take their data with them, and retrain locally. This award expands that capability across operational theaters and Army modernization efforts.”

TurbineOne will integrate and deploy its Frontline Perception software across multiple locations, unmanned platforms, drones, sensors, and operational contexts. The work includes software integration, cybersecurity certification, user training, and hands-on demonstrations that put the capability directly into Soldiers’ hands.

Frontline Perception enables users to build, host, deploy, and adapt computer vision models for their missions without writing code or relying on continuous connectivity. It processes sensor data where it is collected, helping operational teams detect and identify objects of interest and integrate relevant information into a broader intelligence and command-and-control picture.

The award builds on TurbineOne’s ongoing work with the Army to deliver frontline AI across a growing range of formations and operating environments. Operational feedback will continue to shape Frontline Perception as TurbineOne supports missions worldwide and helps connect intelligence from the point of collection to the Army’s broader command-and-control ecosystem.
