Last Call: Leading Web Scraping Conference OxyCon 2026 Goes Live on Wednesday
The free online event will be broadcast on September 16th
Lithuania, Vilnius — September 14, 2026: Oxylabs, an industry-leading web intelligence platform and premium proxy provider, has issued a last call to register for OxyCon 2026, its free annual web scraping summit. With the virtual event taking place on September 16th, just over a week away, data professionals worldwide are encouraged to secure their attendance before registration closes.
“A lot has shifted in web data over the past year, from how sites tighten access to what customers now expect. OxyCon is where we get to unpack all of that in one place, and I think anyone dealing with these challenges will leave with something useful,” said Marija Gecaitė, Chief Commercial Officer at Oxylabs.
The agenda covers three areas shaping the industry right now: AI-native extraction and autonomous workflows, adaptive real-time data and scalable infrastructure, and the governance, compliance, and strategic questions that come with collecting public web data in 2026.
“OxyCon has always been about bringing the whole web data community together for one day, from the engineers building the pipelines to the people thinking about what comes next. This year the lineup goes deep on the questions everyone in our space is actually facing,” said Patricija Žemaitytė, Product Manager at Oxylabs.
Andrius Kūkšta, Tech Lead at Oxylabs, opens the program with “Your Next Dataset Starts with a Prompt,” where he will reveal a brand-new Oxylabs solution and demo it live. Etienne Ellie, Lead Developer at ScrapingBee, will show how web hydration can load dynamic content without the overhead of a full browser. And Giedrius Šteimantas, Director of Scraping Engineering at Oxylabs, will look at where AI genuinely earns its place in production scraping, and where it doesn’t.
Yenny Cheung, VP of Engineering at Bluefish AI, will share the patterns behind agentic workflows that actually hold up when you are building for Fortune 500 companies. Pierluigi Vinciguerra of Data Boutique, Andreea Stroe of Adobe, Hocine Amrane of NIQ, and Andrey Gourine of Limy AI will join Marija Gecaitė for a panel on turning industry friction into a competitive edge.
And on the open web itself, Carl Miller of CASM Technology, Paul Bradshaw of the BBC and Birmingham City University, and Krishna Sood of Black Forest Labs will sit down for a panel on whether the web is closing, and what that means for businesses, journalists, and researchers.
“Not that long ago, the hard part was explaining what scraping even was. Now the questions are bigger and broader. AI copyright cases, opt-out rules in Europe, new standards for how bots are allowed to operate are all reshaping access to public data. When that access narrows, it's not only businesses that lose out, but journalists lose sources and researchers lose evidence, and that's exactly what we want to dig into at OxyCon,” said Denas Grybauskas, Chief Governance and Strategy Officer at Oxylabs.
Two of this year’s sessions won’t be recorded and will only be available to the live audience. In one, Kieron William Spearing and Juan Manuel Perez of Centric Software will show how their team uses system-wide data to decide where anti-bot R&D actually pays off across thousands of crawlers. In the other, topYappers founder Tadas Gedgaudas, who has tested every major open-source scraper of 2026 head-to-head, will reveal what wins, along with a first look at ScrapingArena, a live leaderboard for scrapers. To see either of those, one must tune in live.
Returning attendees recognize that OxyCon consistently addresses the most critical shifts in web intelligence, balancing deep-dive engineering insights with the evolving regulatory and ethical frameworks defining our industry’s future.
OxyCon 2026 is a free, virtual experience accessible to the global data community, live on September 16th. To ensure you don’t miss these exclusive sessions, register now and connect with the strategists and specialists leading the way in public data collection.
